Chickpea Veggie Burgers

Chickpea Veggie Burgers (pdf for printing)

Serves 6-8


2 cups chickpeas mashed

½ red onion, finely diced

1 small zucchini, grated

1 medium carrot, grated

½ cup sunflower seeds

1 tbsp Braggs Liquid Aminos

2 tbsp sunflower seed butter

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp garlic powder

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp celtic sea salt

1 cup gluten free oats

2 tbsp avocado oil


  1. Place chickpeas in a Vitamix and chop or put in a bowl and mash them with a fork.
  2. Add all the other ingredients to the bowl.
  3. Mix using your hands.
  4. Form into 6-8 patties.
  5. Cook on the BBQ around 400F for approximately 10 minutes on each side.
  6. You can also fry these in a pan with some oil for 3-5 minutes a side.
